Even though Althea has been using her hand-healing for years, it wasn’t until after receiving a life-changing session from her Reiki therapist that she decided to become trained in the Japanese art of Reiki, which is healing through energy transfer from the hands. She trained for a year to become a Reiki Level III practitioner. On the one year anniversary of her first Reiki training, she held her first Reiki training class as an instructor, making her a Reiki Master. Since that time, Althea has trained and initiated dozens of people as level I, II, and III Reiki practitioners and two Reiki Masters. She has successfully introduced the healing art of Reiki into corporate offices and on yoga retreats around the world.

Althea provides in-person Reiki healing, and distance healing by video and phone. For large groups and conferences, she leads Reiki self-healing seminars and workshops. Combining her spiritual gifts with all of her other healing modalities make Althea’s trainings and sessions unique and special.
